The fish are drowning and the Phillies are struggling

In case you don't know...'cause you live on another planet....the Mets are in first, the Marlins have falling 3 1/2 games out and the Phillies are just a game out, but their offense is struggling. We have won 7 out of our last 9 games, and we're not at full strength, if you think about it....we haven't been at full strength all year. With the return of Wagner and Church, although no timetable for Church is set, you have to think Church will be back the first week of September and that will only be a bonus for us. If we can get our bullpen back on track, we could take this division.

You also have to look at our schedule, 8 of our next 13 series are against teams .500 or worse. This is the perfect time to put together a few winning streaks and run away with this thing. I'm praying we clinch before the final week of the season, we got the Cubs for four and the Marlins for three...we all remember the last week of the season last year...sorry for bringing that up...just thought I point that out. If the Cubs clinch before they come into Shea, that would be a huge plus for us. Obviously if they clinch they will be resting their top players and that will help us out tremendously.
